off topic but where did you install the NVR in the end? Bedroom, loft or cupboard?

It's going in the cupboard. Not installed yet as still waiting for the hard drive to arrive. I have ordered the noctura fan ready and saw the 3 to 2 pin 2.0. I know the clip is 2.0.

You're not gonna hear it in the cupboard anyway - unless you're sleeping in it lol. I do admire your belt and braces approach to noise reduction however....
