Hi,

Can someone explain why Hikvision have like pauses even though I have 24/7 recording?
Please see photo. The black parts from the time line is missing and no recording is done at that point.

How do i make sure it records exactly everything all the time?

Device Model
DS-7716NI-M4/16P

Firmware Version
V5.03.010 build 240606

Encoding Version

Hi @Ekkoh

Are you seeing the gaps only on one camera or is it happening for all the cameras you have connected to the NVR?

Can you please confirm the model numbers of the cameras you have connected to the NVR and the firmware versions they are currently running?

Hi,

Have total four cameras and all have these gaps but on different times during the day.

DS-2CD2147G2H-LISU
V5.7.14 build 231028

DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU/SL
V5.7.14 build 231213

DS-2CD2347G2H-LIU
V5.7.14 build 231028

DS-2CD2347G2H-LISU/SL
V5.7.13 build 230706

Thanks @Ekkoh

First of all, we would recommend updating all 4 cameras to the latest firmware version - V5.7.17_240606 - and see if that fixes these gaps.

Hi @Ekkoh

What browser are you using to access the NVR/cameras? Have you tried doing the updates from a different browser?

If a different browser doesn't work, can you try doing the updates via iVMS-4200 MAC V2.0.0.17 instead?

Tried with Safari and it worked out. Updated all cameras but still the same issue with gaps.

From Maintenance tab, can you go Log and export txt or CSV file?
Then check on gap specific time what is recorded as an issue. This could be reboot for example.

Seems that almost all the gaps are around 15 seconds so this difficult to be complete reboots. Seems mostly to be an NVR reboot but with ANR enabled on which the gap is close to 10 seconds.

Can you connect all your cameras and NVR on an external POE switch? This way you shall identify if this a power issue caused by the NVR POE voltage
