I'm currently working on a project, I installed over 60 Hikvision ip cameras using two 32 channels NVRs (DHCP turn ON on both NVRs), I used PoE switches to power the cameras and just using LAN cables to connect the NVRs to the switch. But I'm having a hard time, some of the IPs of the cams are conflicting with each other causing some of the cameras not to display. I tried accessing the cameras with the SADP tool by connecting my laptop with a LAN cable through one of the PoE ports in the switch but SADP could not see any of the cams. Please help with a way I could fix it.

Thank you in advance ☺

Do you have a router connected to the network? A hand drawn network diagram would help me understand your setup better.

Alas my response will not appear as helpful as that by @David :-(

So this is an installation/project where you're being paid by a customer to deliver this system.

Please help with a way I could fix it.
I would start by contacting your supplier for assistance

No, I didn't connect a router to it, but now I've been able to access the cameras on my laptop with the SADP tool and manually assigned IPs to all the cameras with their gateway. The issue I'm having now is, one of the NVR's are showing all 32 cameras very well, but the other NVR shows online cameras (and still shows the other cams that are connected to the other NVR but with a caution ⚠️ that these ones are connected to another device) but when I add the online camera to the NVR it all shows that they are unreachable.

The first picture shows the cams being online,
The second one shows the other cams that is added to the other NVR with a caution ⚠️ sign, the third one, is how it turns out after I add them to the second NVR, some show THE NETWORK IS UNREACHABLE, while some show FAILED TO GET CHANNEL PARAMETERS OR DEVICE CAPABILITIES (0x1a01004).

@kizzy9c
I didn't connect a router to it,
Like an orchestra performs better with a conductor an IT network is better with a router. I think you'll regret not using one.

I'm not sure what model Hikvision NVR you have. Is the NVR automatically adding the other cameras it sees on the network? If so you should be able to disable that function. Have you tried manually adding the cameras?

Thank you David , I'll have that in mind.

I disabled the Plug and Play functions and added manually but still get the same report. I had to try another method by plugging some of the cameras into the 16 PoE ports of one of the NVR's and those ones came up then I added the other ones manually now they are all up . I wanted to load them all with PoE switchs so I turned off their PoE ports but the issue came up. Thank you very much David for your support and time, I really appreciate you.

But there's still a challenge I'm having right now, some of the cameras are lagging sometimes and I've set the FPS to the highest (FULL FRAME), I enabled H265+, and Picture Quality is set to the Highest. What do I need to do to make it work smoothly?
These are 4MP cameras by the way.

What do I need to do to make it work smoothly?
start off by reducing video quality / frame rate until the lag has gone.

Do you know how much bandwidth is being used on your network? Before install, was any planning done to specify the network equipment / cameras / cabling?

David

Not really no planning was done on that note, I thought the higher the frame rate the better.

I thought the higher the frame rate the better.
That is true but there seems to be a problem, reducing frame rate / video quality / video resolution should give you a usable setup. That'll give time to figure out what the problem is.

Who did the install and were the ethernet cables locally or factory made?

I did tue cabling, I used D-link cables I don't know if you know that product. Bit it was recently I was updated that D-link cat6 is not 100% copper, could that be a problem?

Did the d link cables have factory terminated rj45 connectors?

Copper coated aluminium should be ok.

I did the crimping myself, could the crimping be causing it?
as long as the connecters were terminated properly and tested for continuity / splits / crosses / losses, they should be ok. Did you do a full spec test of the cables?

You have connectivity to all the cameras as they are working, bear in mind the cables could cause problems.

Did you check the network bandwidth requirements for each camera?

David
