Recommended settings for a Hikvision Colorvu camera please?

Hi, I have 3 DS-2CD2387GU cameras and I'm pleased with the picture overall but at night it becomes quite pixilated and faces are far from great.

What settings do you have your
-Resolution
-Bitrate Type
-Video Quality
-Frame Rate
-Video Encoding
I have a 10Tb hard drive so hopefully plenty of space.

Hi @Dave911 - sorry to keep you waiting on a response.

Please see some recommended settings below, but I would also log into the camera and play around with the Image>Display Settings at night if those don't help.

The ones to focus on are shutter speed (in exposure settings) and digital noise reduction (in image enhancement).

• Resolution: The highest available
• Bitrate Type: Variable
• Video Quality: Medium or Higher (people like to use Highest too, but you'll need to have plenty of bandwidth available.
• Frame Rate: A minimum of 15fps to maintain a smooth video, most use >20fps.
• Video Encoding: Based on the issues you're describing with the video, I would try H.265 first, then H.264+ or H.264 if you're still having issues.

Best settings for DS-2CD2387G2-LU ColorVu turret cameras?

I'm struggling with the settings for DS-2CD2387G2-LU Colorvu cameras. WDR is better when it's dark but looks too light during the day, also I'm struggling with exposure, currently at 1/150 but dark at night. I've got the LEDs on the cameras set to the brightest setting.
