I know this is a general category and not HIK-Vision, but the reason for that may become clear. We have 3 x DS-2CD2087G2-LU cameras (Firmware Version: V5.5.800 build 210628) linked to a DYN 7608NI NVR (Firmware Version: V4.72.107 build 220914).
I've not updated the firmware for a couple of years as each time I did update things more and more functionality seems to be removed.
I manage from a Mac, and since HIK-V removed access via a Chromium browser and end life'ed the iVMS Mac software I'm having to run a virtual PC and use the Windows iVMS software to manage things, not ideal.
So down to business.... one of the cameras looks like it has suffered an integrity failure, as since the bad winter weather over Christmas, the image has gone blurry looking like it has misted over.
Therefore I need to either get a replacement camera or look to replace the system with something I can manage properly. Hopefully something I can integrate with Apple Home directly or via Homebridge.
Any thoughts?
