Hi. I'm having difficulty using SADP TOOL on my mac. The downloads don't work, does anyone have a solution? I'm on macOS Sequoia 15.1.1. Thanks.

Here is python script that mimics hikvision broadcast and receive devices on network that match hikvision signature

But this will just show devices, not interact with them, such as password reset/activation/changing network parameters

Download should work fine. MacOS possibly blocking it. Just go into Settings > Security and Privacy and there’ll usually be a prompt that it’s been blocked where you can click ‘download anyway’

Tried to open VS player to view some recordings on my MAC machine today, the software briefly opens and then crashes multiple times.

I tried to download the installer again, to re-install the software, and MAC OS thinks it's malware and refuses to open it.

Any ideas?
VLC player no longer plays my recordings either..

As far as we are aware, several of the Hikvision Mac Tools are no longer supported by Macs running MacOS Sonama or newer.

Hmm - that's a pain. I've just tried mine on MacBook running MacOS 15.3. As it was installed under an earlier version, the app starts but after a refresh does not see any devices. I also have Windows 11 running on the same MacBook in a Parallels VM and that works fine. I'll not hold much hope of seeing an updated SADP for Mac anytime soon from Hivision.

You might be better just registering for Hik-Partner Pro for your mobile device which has SADP built in. Theres also Hi Tools Delivery but I'm not aware of a Mac version

Just install Parallels on the Mac, you can then run Windows side by side with MacOS
