Hi I I've installed my own home cctv system I upgraded 4 of my cameras to colourvu hikvision

3 off them are 5mp DS-2CE72HFT-f28

And the other is a 4mp ip one HikVision ColorVu DS-2CD2347G1-LU

My dvr model no. Is ds 7216huhi k2

Im looking to know how and what Is the best settings to use

Hi @Jrmca7126

There isn't really one set of recommended settings for the ColorVu cameras because the settings you use are dependent on the scene you are covering.

Are you able to share screenshots of the images you are currently getting and explain what about the camera images you want to improve?

Hi Dan I'm only able to get screenshots off my 3 DS-2CE72HFT-f28 5mp ones I'm having problems getting the DS-2CD2347G1-LU one connected to my app but it's working on the dvr

With these one's I think could be clear and when there's moving objects the video is near impossible to make out

Hi @Jrmca7126

Ok, moving object detail is a common issue with the ColorVu cameras because by default they use a slow exposure time (1/12) to let as much light into the sensor and achieve the bright colour image at night.

If you go into the image settings for each camera you should be able to adjust the exposure time to a slightly faster speed (1/25, 1/50, etc...) to reduce the motion blur/distortion, it is a little bit trial and error as increasing the exposure speed will make the whole image darker and so you may need to adjust other image settings alongside the exposure time to achieve the best image results.
