Smart Tracking setup on my PTZ DS-2DE5432IW-AE?

Hi all,

Trying to set up smart tracking on my PTZ DS-2DE5432IW-AE

HIKVISION 5" DS-2DE5432IW-AE (S5) 4MP ACUSENSE 32X ZOOM 150M IR PTZ WITH WALL MOUNT
HIKVISION DS-7716NI-I4-16P 16 CHANNEL NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER

I have enabled virtual host and can see the additional PTZ controls but can't see Smart Tracking?

Any ideas?

Are you running this firmware version? - V5.5.41

Also, it is usually better to set up the auto-tracking as a 'linkage method' for one of the smart events, as the camera is more meticulous with what it tracks this way. Usually, line crossing or intrusion detection is best, I'm not sure if it is available as a linkage method for object removal detection, though.

Do you have a linked tracking option available on the linkage method page for any of the smart VCA events?

Can you confirm what the model number of the PTZ is, please?

If it is the DS-2DE4425IW-DE that you mention in post #6, then I'm afraid that this model does not support auto-tracking, which is probably why you cannot see the option to enable it.

However, the DS-2DE5432IW-AE(S5) that you mention in post #1 should support it.

Can you also please confirm whether you have an (S5) model or not?

Looking at the Hikvision spec it says it does
 
Thanks, I've just noticed that it looks like you are looking in the NVR's configuration menu when checking for auto-tracking under smart events:

You'll need to be logged into the camera directly to enable the auto-tracking - can you check again when connected to the camera directly, please?

Can you also please check that the model number is showing as DS-2DE5432IW-AE(S5) in [System > System Settings > Basic Information]?
