The journey from Samsung to Wisenet

The household name that is Samsung is no longer associated with IP Camera solutions.

It all started when Hanwha Group acquired a 32.4% stake in Samsung Techwin in 2014, which allowed for joint management of the company.

In 2015 the acquisition was completed and Samsung Techwin was re-launched as a subsidiary company of Hanwha Group. In June it was decided to change the company name to Hanwha Techwin, dropping 'Samsung'.

We observed as the products from Hanwha Techwin went through transitions to filter out the Samsung name. The products were originally branded as Wisenet Samsung to allow people to still recognise the brand.

From January 2018 the rebrand picked up pace, with an official statement from the Managing Director of Hanwha Techwin Europe.

In order to assist this rebranding, all products will be branded with the Wisenet badge and the 'Samsung' association will be removed all together.

As a result, we will be working to update our website and products to reflect this change from the manufacturer, whilst ensuring a seamless transition for our customers.

All previous Samsung cameras can still be found on our site and we continue to offer free tech support for all purchases as well as advice for any future purchases.
