Hi All,

Im keen to make sure im using my cameras to full capacity and hoping bit rate can be explained?

Max bitrate is a theoretical ceiling. It does not force your cams to operate at that bitrate. Set it at the highest setting unless you have issues. It's really meant for cameras that exceed an NVR's capabilities and then must be dialed down.

Thanks for the response. Is there a right or wrong? Keen to not set it too high only for it then to crash my NVR. I’d like the ceiling in place, but the right one!

Hikvisions guideline maximum bit rate chart attached.
