Hi, I have a DS-7608NI-E2 / 8P/A running V3.4.62-160503 and have tried updating to V3.4.106 build191009 but get upgrading failed could this be the updating is too large of jump or is there possibly another reason thanks for any help

Hi @Mike1960

It may well be too large a jump.

Are you using Internet Explorer for the update? You will probably need to for that NVR.

Try these earlier versions on the EU portal chronologically:
V3.4.80 build160718 English+Multi-lingual
V3.4.90 build161008
V3.4.98 build171121

And then try the one you have been on the UK portal:
V3.4.106 build191009
Hi thanks for the quick reply I am using internet explorer and have just tried the V3.4.80 160718 and the V3.490 171121 but still get failed to get the upgrading progress

I think it is the fact that your NVR is an "/A" model which is causing the firmware to be rejected.

It seems to be a common issue. If you look at this thread, other users have found that the /A models do not support the same firmware as the non-/A models.
So, it's likely that the version you have installed is the last one that was released for your model.

If you look at the attached table, you will see that there are no E2/8P/A models shown under the E-series firmware at all.
