using a Fibre network for CCTV IP Cameras

I have a requirement to run an IP network 600m with 5 POE cameras connected to POE switches 5 at one end, then 3 switches every 200 m along the run.

nvr---x -----x-----x------x

Each x is a switch with a 200m fibre between each one

I've tried looking into this with suppliers but they wont give the whole solution ( they say i should know what fibre cable to use?)

help!

Do you need the three mid-point switches for other purposes?
i.e. you are aware that fibre will go 600m if you wish?

Whichever, we can sort you out with the parts required.

There is a nice chart on Wikipedia providing fibre categories and bandwidth over distance. OM1 multi-mode fibre will give you 1Gb up to 275mtrs.
