Sorry, we don't know what differences Hikvision introduce within their firmware for different regions.

Usually, your NVR or other device will not allow you to install firmware that is not suitable.

We would always recommend that you use firmware that is intended for your region (just safest / best practice).

Some differences will be country specific such as legal requirements/restrictions for different Countries, and other basic differences such as languages etc.

But I suspect the main reason is so HikVision can control their market and their suppliers in each different country/region. For example, to stop end users or suppliers from being able to buy cameras from one (cheaper) country to use or resell in another.
