Which Hikvision DVR/camera series is the best and will allow for these type of smart events?

Hi,

Hope everyone is well.

I want to purchase a 8 channel Hikvision DVR and Hikvision cameras with line crossing.

As I am not familiar with the DVR's from Hikvision, does anyone know which DVR/camera series is the best and will allow for these type of smart events.

Just to clarify, are you looking for an analog/COAX system (DVR) or a Network/IP system (NVR)?

If this is a completely new system, we would personally recommend an IP system because it is more versatile and easier to install (IP cameras don't have to be directly connected to the ports on the recorder).
