It looks like you are looking at decoding which only applies to how many cameras you can simultaneously live view.
To record 4 x 8MP cameras at max. resolution/settings, we would recommend the DS-7608NI-M2/8P which also supports a decoding capability of 8-ch@8 MP(25 fps).
