Hi everyone,
I have been using my NVR POE 4 Ch for at least 6years - Model NVR-7504p-P4 without any issues. However, just recently I get an error condition where the system automatically goes into an Upgrade mode and the system freezes.

The only way to navigate out of the frozen system is to power off / on. After doing so the system remains operational for about 1 hour and repeats the error condition as can be seen in the attached photo.

What I’ve tried so far is;
  1. Posted a chat message on XMeye App support page, but no response.
  2. Reset the NVR firmware to factory settings and started from scratch and added cams successfully, it works for a while but I get the Upgrade screen popup automatically and it freezes the system.
  3. Performed a reset and not installed any cams to test if the error is coming from the NVR or cams, resulting in error condition even without cam installed, which seems to indicate the issue is the NVR software.
  4. Downloaded the system software from Online CD,XMEYE,NVSIP,GOOLINK,XVR,DANALE and transferred the EXE file to a USB drive (formatted to FAT). BE CAREFUL WITH THIS SITE AS I GET A WARNING THAT ITS NOT SECURE??
  5. Attempted the upgrade using the NVR upgrade screen with the source file plugged into one of the NVR USB ports but the system did not seem to recognise the EXE file on the USB drive and therefore I could not attempt to load downloaded software.
  6. Google searched for a similar issue with my model NVR but to no avail.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Further information;
I have since discovered that if I do not connect the LAN ethernet cable to the NVR the system operates as expected with cameras recording to the HDD and no sign of the Upgrade error / system freeze.
This therefore, seems to indicate there is a bug in my NVR firmware which automatically sets off the Upgrade routine and causes an error / system freeze when connected to the internet.
So what I probably need it a version of the firmware to match my original build version of;

V4.02.R11.C7422119.12001.130000.00000 dated 05-08-2016 as shown in the attached photo of my system after it goes into a frozen state.

Any help to source the correct firmware would be appreciated.

Oh my God, I have the same NVR with the same problem. They bricked it with a cloud command. What are we going to do? We need to somehow separate from their cloud with a clean firmware or install an open source firmware that doesn't use their cloud, or find a way to remove the Update file/command they are pushing. This sort of remote device bricking is absolutely illegal. Now I have to buy a new NVR.
I hope somebody help us with this issue.

Issue Fixed;
Following on from my earlier post, just wanted to let readers know I have since got my system working...
As mentioned earlier I operated the NVR without connecting it to the internet for about 3 days and both cams operated & recorded to the HDD.
Yesterday I removed both circuit boards and cleaned them with a aerosol Contact Cleaner and reinstalled them including reconnecting the NVR to the internet.
Within a few minutes of powering up the NVR, the system automatically went into the System Upgrade screen and appeared to successfully finish the upgrade of the firmware and automatically restarted the NVR. I have since checked the firmware version and found that it appears to be the original 2016 build version i.e. no apparent change.
The good news is that so far all is operating as normal without any symptoms of the system freezing, so I don't know if it was the CB clean or Xmeye did something at their end to allow completion of the Upgrade process.
