5 MP Cameras to non 5 MP DVR

Good Afternoon Colleagues
I hope you are doing good and safe . Can i connect the cameras DS-2CE76H0T-ITPF & DS-2CE16H0T-ITPF to DVR iDS-7116HQHI-M1/S(C) inspite of the fact that the cameras are 5MP and the DVR is not ?

Yes, you should be able to reduce the cameras resolution. Once connected to the DVR you need to access the cameras built in menu. Click the joystick icon to bring up the PTZ panel on the right side of the screen then:
  1. Click the 'Iris Open' icon to bring up the onscreen menu for the camera
  2. By default you will see that the 5MP camera video output is set to 4MP/?FPS
  3. Click the Right arrow icon repeatedly until it shows 2MP/?FPS
  4. Click the down arrow to highlight 'Save and exit'
  5. Click the 'Iris Open' icon again.
The camera will reboot set to 2MP (1080P) and you can then use the camera as normal.
 
Thx for your support JB1970 . Do you know what 4 MP Lite resolution ?
I've never used it. It might be that you get an image if you set the DVR to 4MP Lite and that you can then switch the output to 2MP as described above.
