Bullet camera mount won't tighten enough, is there any known fix?

I have a few year old hikvision bullet cameras. When new, I was able to tighten the locking nut and the camera would lock in place firmly.
Now, it doesn't matter how much I tighten the locking nut, I can easily move the camera by hand.
Is there a way to fix this?

Do you know the exact model number of the bullet camera you have?

The design of the Hikvision bullet cameras does change a bit between different models.

Is it specifically the hand-tightened nut against the mounting plate that is failing?
Does it come loose?
Or just not do its job any more even though it is tight?

Yes, the hand-tightened nut. Its not doing its job, even after fully tightened.
