I have a almost identical issue to JLewis in that I don't have a monitor atttached to the DVR and am getting disk exception and intermittent bleeping. Up until now I've access cameras via my iphone and ipad. I know the IP address but can't access via the web browser as I suspect it was never activated when cameras were installed around 7 years ago. I've tried the Admin username with password (12345) to no avail.
I tried to install SADP (as administrator) but I'm getting system errors because HCNetSDK.dll was not found. I've uninstalled and reinstalled SADP to no avail.
The DVR is located where I can't fit a monitor closeby. Is it possible to run a VGA to HDMI cable from DVR to my laptop so I can use laptop as monitor? I will have to employ an electrician to do this so ideally this would be the least preferable option. I would prefer to be able to use web browser to access cameras. Any suggestions will be most appreciated. TIA.
