Yes, please connect your laptop to the router with a cable.
Run SADP again.
See if it then finds your Hikvision DVR.

Your laptop is now using a wired connection to your router and SADP still does not find your DVR?
The DVR remains active / you can still see your CCTV on your TV?
Your router is active / LEDs flashing / you have internet access?

OK, let's see if we can quickly check your network setup.
On your laptop.
In the box at the lower left next to the Windows icon.
Type CMD and hit enter.
The Command Prompt dialogue box should appear.
There should be a flashing cursor, waiting for you to enter a command.
Type ipconfig and then the enter key.

Share the results back here please.
It'll tell us the IP address of your router and your laptop.

OK, now I'd like to check that your DVR has sensible network settings to join your home network.
With your CCTV showing on your TV.
Please click the right button on the mouse connected to your DVR.
You should see a pop-up dialogue box.
Select menu.

I expect you will then be presented with a lock screen.
Enter the unlock pattern if you know it.

Then select Configuration.
Then select Network.

Then please share here an image of those network settings.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but this is the only network I could find on there.

But there was no menu or configuration

Perfect, well done :)
It's very odd that the IP address fields are not populated.
With DHCP ticked (as you have / as is normal) it should pick up addresses from your router.

Try unticking that then clicking Apply.
Wait 30 seconds.
Then tick DHCP again and Apply.
Let's see if it will then talk to your router and get addresses for those empty fields in the centre of the screen.

OK let's try our luck with some manual entries first then:
In the first field enter 192.168.1.101
In the second 255.2555.255.000
In the third 192.168.1.254

Untick Obtain DNS automatically:
In the preferred field enter 8.8.8.8
In the second field enter 8.8.4.4
Then Apply

OK, can you check SADP on your laptop again please.
With your laptop wired to your router.

OK
Go back to your DVR settings, tick Enable DHCP and Apply.
See whether that works - the address ending 101 will probably change.

Then go back to SADP on your laptop and refresh it.

Ok I've done that then it's done this.

But it's still the same on the SADP

It's behaving as if it cannot connect to the router.
It could be the cable between them, but it's unusual for cables to fail in service.

Let's try restarting your DVR.
Switch it off.
Wait 30 secs.
Turn it back on.
Allow it a minute or so to complete its boot-up.
Then log-in and check that page again.
