I recently purchased a camera from you, but I haven't received a response to my last two posts (below). Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Post 1 - DS-2DE7A432IWG1-E Night settings
Post 2 eMMC Protection

I am trying to set up continuous recording with event markers on this new camera. Could you please provide instructions on how to do this, as I have been unable to find the setting?
I understand it's not supported on older Cameras, but surely it is on this new £700 camera?

Thank you for your help.

Dave

It's generally a function of the NVR and is not the same when you're recording to an SD card. Depending on the camera it may be possible if you have the camera registered and added to Hik-Connect.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Yes it is in Hik-Connect.
I will look into this
Needs to registered with Hik-Connect - not just added as a local device using its IP. Some camera and NVR/DVR functionality is only available when your using the Hik-Connect service.

Hi yes all working to a point in video search, A few false triggers but ok and I can work to improve that, just need to find a way to do this in a web browser.

Thank you for your help
Dave.

@Dan
Can you help or comment on this please?
Can this be done in a web browser

Just need to know if it's a yes or no please.

Hi @nesswill

I've double-checked with Hikvision support, and their response is below:

"The event marks are not available on the camera web page, but can be checked on NVR for the PTZ camera.
IPC is able to be check on both HikConnect and NVR."

So they have basically confirmed what @JB1970 was saying.

Hi Dan, thank you for taking the time to ask if do appreciate it, not the answer I wanted but that's life.

I take it adding event markers in the web browser recorded data is on there to do list?

If not is there somewhere i can go to post suggestions

Cheers
Dave.

Hi @nesswill

The lack of event markers in the camera playback is something that has been the case for many years.

Years ago, most of the camera models did support this feature in a browser, but at some point, Hikvision introduced a newer generation of cameras and removed this feature.

At the time, they had told us that the feature had to be removed to improve browser stability.

For this reason, I'm not sure if this feature will ever be reintroduced.

There is no official way to post suggestions; the only option would be to email Hikvision - support.uk@hikvision.com
