eMMC Protection

Hi sorry for this question, but on my DS-2DE7A432IWG1-E should I enable eMMC Protection? i have a 512Gb SD card installed but cant find much/any info on it.

Yes, in most scenarios, you should enable eMMC Protection (sometimes referred to as Write Protection or RPMB—Replay Protected Memory Block) on your security camera if it is offered in the settings.

But i am still not sure if this is the case so @Dan or someone else can you comment please.

Hi @nesswill

We have never used eMMC when recording to a MicroSD card, and we've never seen any issues.

I wouldn't say it is something that you have to use; it is simply an optional extra level of security.
