GREEN LIGHT JUST FLASHING

Hi everyone. I'm Justin and know nothing about CCTV or how these things work etc etc, so please bear with me with.

I have a hikvision ds-7208hghi-f1/n. My system started to bleep and stopped recording. So after searching on the web I think it turned out that my HDD has decided to call it day after about 5 years.

Based on that information, I've purchased a new HDD and followed a youtube clip on putting the HDD into the DVR,

However this now where my Problem is. After switching on DVR all i get the green power light flashes. Nothing appearing on my the TV at all.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

You'll need to access the DVR from a PC on the same network, to see whether it is working / providing any clues to the problem.
Hikvision's SADP utility will help you to find the DVR's IP address on your network.
Then you can just use the Internet Explorer browser to login.
