VLC Media doesn't play files downloaded by HiLook Vision

Hi,

As per title whenever I have recorded footage from a camera, downloaded it and opened with VLC as well as opening it from VLC it does not play the footage. I have tried with different clips, the different clips work fine but the HiLook Vision clips do not play. Any suggestions?

Due to the specialist compression and encryption that Hikvision uses you will find that most files won't play in standard playback software.

If you just need to playback the footage then we would recommend you install Hikvision's own video player - VSPlayer
