I was mentioning that I wanted a wired outside video monitoring system for the front of my house and the other day a mate dropped all this kit off.
It consists of three Sannce 1080P cameras and a Yale hard drive DVR recorder H8A-HD1080 that would take 8 cameras, and a monitor which was an added bonus. I don't have any cables but I'm sure I can get those ok.
Thing is, is this kit a good start for what I think I need? I know there are a lot of systems on the market. Some too far ouside a pensioner's pocket but if it means I just need some cables to make it work without a monthly contribution to some app, I'll use it.
Really, I don't want to go down the route with the wifi stuff. I would much prefer the wired stuff as its probably more reliable. I just want to keep an eye out on my driveway area. I already have a ring doorbell. If the kit I've been given isn't up to it, can someone give me some idea of what I require, bearing in mind that I'm not a rich guy now I'm retired! Thanks.
