Hi Dan,

Just reaching out for a little advice please. To your knowledge what's the differences between DS-2CDB26FWD-IZS and the DS-2CDA26FWD-IZS? Furthermore, would the firmware that supports the ANPR function possibly work with the B variant?

Any guidance would be most appreciated.

I hope you don't mind me joining your forum and looking for some advice. I am really at a loss at the moment and becoming stressed out with this system.

We have had a number of crime-related things happen and each time we go to view the footage something is wrong with it etc.

Hi Jami, I read in a post you may be able to help with using isapi. I have little to no knowledge on this subject despite being computer savvy.

long story short I need to implement the code from section 8.4.52 of this document to get a overlay of the camera voltage onto the osd.

Try the forum at ipcamtalk.com with your question (volts on display). There are a couple of members on there that will know how to do what you're trying to achieve - alastairstevenson seems to be the man on there who knows the firmware inside out.

I saw your helpful awnser to a CCTV question so I'm taking the liberty of asking you a question because I don't want to just jump into someone elses post.I'm considering installing CCTV and would like to know if there are any "discreet" cameras on the market because where I live a public camera would look ostentaisous.

Hi Malford,

Just looking at an oldish post of yours, I see you had an ASUS RT-AC87U, that’s what I use. Did you find using DDNS on the actual router was better than using the Hik one?

Fairly new to the game and looking to setup remote connection and apps on my iPhone etc, either Hik-Connect or iVMS 4500.

What did you find best?
