    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

So to confirm - here are the snapshots at different resolutions showing the cropping - 16MP, 12MP, 8MP. I'm a little confused as to why the HD snapshots at 16 and 12MP are much smaller than the resolution the camera is set to? 16MP "4608x3456" (it's in quotes as the HD snapshot is only...

    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

Right - all confirmed. Hikvisions support initially requested I install the earlier build firmware and factory reset the camera. If that didn't work they would take a look at extracting debug from the camera so work out what's going on. I mentioned that I could get it [AcuSeek/AcuSearch]...

    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

No. Unfortunately: - 16MP - No results in search for either AcuSeek or AcuSearch - Drop to 8MP - Indexing of new targets starts immediately and results are shown for all targets seen since the resolution drop (but 8MP image is a cropped image so doesn't show the previous viewing angle) -...

    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

The quoted viewing angles on the datasheet are somewhat deceptive. I guess the figures given are for when the camera is set at 16MP; setting the camera to 8MP just crops the border of the image giving a much narrower view (and requiring the camera to be repositioned) @trempa92 - as soon as...

    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

@trempa92 - yes, it's on by default though as it's a newer camera the switch is marked 'AcuSeek' rather than 'AcuSearch' in that menu. Smart event metadata is also turned on. I opened a case with Hikvision support this morning giving them all model numbers, firmware versions etc along with...

    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

Not good so far with this camera. AcuSearch and AcuSeek not working with the VPro NVR - no results returned for any search. All configured correctly camera side, camera is enabled in engine. I’ve enabled/disabled AcuSeek, deleted/re-added the camera, unloaded the AcuSeek/AcuSearch engine...

    Hikvision cameras 12/16 MP

Done! - These 12 and 16MP models seem to be available now in the UK. I've just got one of the 16MP models: DS-2CD23166G3-I2UY-SL (16MP turret with 2 way audio) I'm not sure when I'll get chance to install it at mine as I'm not sure which camera I'll replace (most of the positions aren't the...

DS-2DE7A432IWG1-E continuous recording with event markers

Needs to registered with Hik-Connect - not just added as a local device using its IP. Some camera and NVR/DVR functionality is only available when your using the Hik-Connect service.

DS-2DE7A432IWG1-E continuous recording with event markers

It's generally a function of the NVR and is not the same when you're recording to an SD card. Depending on the camera it may be possible if you have the camera registered and added to Hik-Connect.

    DS-2DE7A432IWG1-E Night settings

There is no chart or explanation. Those modes are simply friendly names for a saved set of image parameters. Each of those image parameters in those modes can be manually adjusted and saved to suit requirements - they're just examples. You could set them however you want and schedule them to...

    Colour vu camera issue

Whether you changed any settings or not doesn't really make a difference. You're going to need to log into the camera (assuming it's an IP camera and not HD analogue) and check the image settings. If it's a HD analogue camera the settings are accessed differently using the PTZ controls to send...

    Colour vu camera issue

We need to know the precise model number of the camera to confirm, but it looks to me as though you possibly have a G3 ColorVu, with exposure set to Manual instead of Auto. In that mode the exposure is fixed rigidly at the set exposure time and will not adjust regardless of available light...

    Hikvision outdoor camera issue

As mentioned further up, I've never had a failure yet and installed hundreds.

Do all-in-one indoor stations have web interface?

I'm not sure myself as I do very little with the intercoms. The user on here that seemed to be most knowledgable about the intercoms was @KamirZG but they haven't been on the forum since December.

    NVR unbind question

You should be able to unbind with the admin password. Teh only time of had an issue is with an older DVR with version 3 firmware.
