Hi i seem to have an issue with one camera not working with intrusion detection. I have setup intrusion detection the same as my working D1/D3 cameras but D6 Just wont work. I can see the Areas visibile now in IVMS4200 showing the trigger areas but i jump around like a lunatic nothing happens.
I have checked the Normal Linkage = Notify surveillance center + email for now which i know works but doesn't notify here either.

I have checked in logs and i see the event for D6 Motion detection Started / Stopped so the event gets logged. so i rebooted device still no alerts.

I have checked firmware and do observe for example the working D3 has a different firmware version even though HIkvision says theyre all up to date! Help!!

Ignore above screenshot somehow pasted from google library, this i what i meant

I am close to throwing all Hikvision sh't in the bin, it's utterly unrealiable crap.

I have had nothing but issues with the software. As above now i have 3 cams that dont work with intrusion detection, the ones that do either work in the dark ages sending me 3x352x288 pixel images or dont at all. I think out of 9 Cameras i have 3 work as expected. They are a mixture of

2CD2386G2
2CD2086G2

For example this camera wouldnt work on intrustion detection, so i upgraded the firmware to below, intrusion detection now works but i get miniature uselss 352x288 images, utterly fekin useless. I don't want to piss around with older versions downgrading till it works again.
DS-2CD2086G2-IUV5.5.820 build 231108

Meanwhile my NVR claims theyre all on the latest version already really?

DS-2CD2386G2-IUV5.5.131 build 200220--Latest Version Already

Hikvision website latest version - Firmware_V5.5.820_231108

None of it works right.

A couple of things to note regarding your cameras and firmware. Although they look like they’re the same model (DS-2CD2386G2-xxx) you have two different hardware versions. You can see that if you login to the cameras and check the system information page; there’s a line marked ‘Firmware Version Property’ and the middle two characters denote the version you need.

All of the ones on version 5.5.131 are the older G3 platform models. They can be updated to 5.5.820_231108.

All of the ones on 5.7.x are the newer G5 platform models (often referred to on here as the ‘c’ revision models). They can be updated to 5.7.19_241207.

The message about ‘no update available’ or ‘latest version’ is a PITA. It’ll rarely let you know a firmware update is available (depending on NVR model and version)

It is worth updating everything to the latest versions as it may well solve your issue.

Additionally:

- make sure your NVR firmware is up to date (you don’t mention the model or current version.

- for the cameras that aren’t working I assume you’re selecting the ‘notify surveillance centre’ action on the NVR rather than directly on the camera? (if you’re selecting e mail or notify options directly on a camera that’s connected to an NVR PoE port it’ll have no effect as the cameras themselves have no path to the internet)

Ok new day and i haven't yet shoved it all out the window, thankyou kindly for your input here also, I shall try above as suggested and hopefully it will resolve things.
Agree the software updater is just wrong in this day n age paying this much for kit Hikvision should be pressing their Dev teams to rectify these bugs. I shall follow up with Hikvision UK who im sure will at best say 'we hear you' or worse 'oh you need to speak to your local Hik authorised dealer we can't hear you la la '

Will update back for what it's worth. Thankyou.
