I just noticed that new firmware has been released for the KV6113WPE1(c). I've not seen any release notes but the version has jumped from 2.2.78 to 3.7.0 so I'd guess there are some major changes? It's available on both the UK and Global Hikvision update search pages.

Edit: I updated mine and it's a completely new modernised interface (which actually works in MacOS Safari!):

Not a great start...

1 - A call from the unit comes through on Hik-Connect but the video won't load (may be a temporary glitch)
2 - The camera is no longer working with the NVR (M Series). It shows offline in Access Control Devices. Deleting it moves it into the online device list but whether using the link for quick add or manually adding it, it immediately switches to 'offline' once added

The specific error is "failed to get channel parameters or device capabilities (0x1a1009)'

This firmware version seems to be problematic.

On (at least) the M series NVRs, the device can no longer be added, unless adding as a video device and using Hikvision RTSP protocol (confirmed by several other users). This intercom firmware update appears to have undone the fix for this issue that was previously resolved by M series NVR firmware version 5.04.050.

Despite reboots and power downs, call connectivity to Hik-Connect is an issue for me. The call comes through to the Hik-Connect app, but when attempting to answer the call from the app, the call does not connect and the video does not load. I can manually connect to the device and stream live and the notification, along with a snapshot of the caller is available (despite the call being unanswerable). I'll perhaps delete and re-add the device to Hik-Connect but if that doesn't work it'll be a roll back to 2.2.78.

Just updated my kv6113-wpe1(c) to this firmware to check new features, but I just can't connect it to my wifi network, clicking connect just does nothing. Anybody else faced with this problem?

I have no troubles with new firmware. Calling works normally. Tested on KD and KV units.

But i havent tested adding to NVR, i presume since it took AccessControl firmware base it will be problematic as K1T502 to add to NVR.

It became ISAPI based rather than SDK based. I Believe NVR's will get new firmware to support adding device via ISAPI protocol. Same as HikCentral have for such devices

My issues continued with this firmware. The unit is standalone, hard wired to the network with no previous issues

Working:
  • Start live view
  • Call received on Hik-Connect
  • 2 Way Audio
  • Snapshot and notification logged in Hik-Connect from call
Not working:
  • Video will not load when call is accepted (auto answer off) but 2 way audio can be used without image
  • Camera needs to be added to NVR using RTSP
Troubleshooting:
  • Disable/enable Hik-Connect - failed
  • Power cycle PoE - failed
  • Default parameters - failed
  • Disable Hik-Connect, unbind, full factory reset, activate, bind, enable Hik-Connect - failed
I've reloaded 2.2.78 which reset and de-activated the device. Once re-activated and added to Hik-Connect again, the unit is fully operational and working as it was prior to update to 3.7.0.

Now entire API is working really good, same as ACS.
Easier to integrate
Hmm - unfortunately mine is audio only with that firmware so I'll be stuck on 2.2.78 until something else changes either in the intercom firmware of Hik-Connect (it's not entirely obvious where the issue lies)

Have you factory restore after upgrading? I just tested with indoor and phone only and it works hmmm

Yeah, I tried everything I can think of - disable/enable HK, unbind/re-bind to HK, reset to default parameters and finally the nuclear option - reset to factory defaults (unactivated) and start afresh. The outcome was the same - the call comes through but the video would fail to load (just slowly incrementing the percentage). As soon as I downgraded to 2.2.78 yesterday (which factory reset and de-activated it), I programmed it up again and everything worked from the first push of the outdoor station. I guess there may be some corruption in my unit. It's no big deal as it's only for home use. My family have the same model so I may try the same upgrade on theirs and see what happens.

Could this issue be because of the number of Live Views simultaneously?
For example if Live View on iVMS(or browser) is by KV6113's IP and also the KV6113 is added as camera on NVR then I cannot have a Live view on Indoor Station or I cannot have a Live view in settings or have no picture on Hik-Connect. There must be a combination of less than 3 devices simultanouesly.
This is about DS-KV6113WPE1(A) version but could possibly be changed on (C) versions too

Yes I suppose that's possible. As the 3.7.0 firmware stopped the connection to the NVR in the normal way (access control device) the connection over RTSP might have done that. It's difficult to say as I can't remember at what point I reconnected the 6113 to the NVR over RTSP (before or after I tried the call functionality) It doesn't give an error, it just fails to load the video. Once the M series firmware is patched (again) so that RTSP is no longer needed I'll maybe give it another try. As I'm using it purely as a doorbell, the newer firmware doesn't offer any enhanced functionality other than live view in MacOS Safari (which is helpful during configuration)

That's exactly what happens on NXI-Ks . There is no option to add KV6113 or Indoor station as an Access control device. Someone can add only Switches and Speakers. I cannot understand why they removed your option.....
The weird thing is that those can be added as Switches.

It was a long running issue on the M series. You would add it as access control device, then they broke it with an NVR firmware update, then they finally fixed it with NVR 5.04.050 firmware, now intercom 3.7.0 has broken that fix. It worked best when the NVR was on 4.63.020 before the new UI. On that version you could add it as camera but also an IoT device. That allowed you to configure an event based on the call button being pressed. With an event search you could then easily view a window showing all callers. I guess that has gone forever....
