M Series Firmware - 5.04.050_250124 Released

I updated a KV6113 intercom outdoor station this morning to the new 3.7.0 firmware. Unfortunately I'm now back to the situation of being unable to add the intercom to the recorder as either a video device ('device type mismatch') or an access control device. The device which is online immediately switches to 'offline' once added.

@Kyle - I'm not sure whether this is a new issue or the previous issue being reintroduced? Again, as before, the intercom can be added as a video device if Hivision RTSP protocol is chosen.

Has the 5.04 firmware broken recording from Hik doorbell for anyone?
My KV6113-WPE1(C), on 2.2.78, is no longer recording soon after the NVR upgrade.

This upgrade is ofcourse the one that allowed doorbells to be added as access control devices, so I wonder if this method is what's causing no recordings, or it's a bug.

I've been putting off upgrading the doorbell to 3.70 for now.

The newest 5.04 firmware fixed it so that it can be added as access control device rather than needing to use RTSP. The doorbell 3.70 firmware breaks that fix and you're back to adding using RTSP. My KV6113-WPE1(c) no longer works since upgrade to 3.70. The call comes through to Hik-Connect and it stores a notification and snapshot of the caller, however when I try to answer the call the video will not load. It loads normally for live view and 2 way audio is possible, just not in response to the call button being pressed. I've not messed too much with it but it's had Hik-Connect disabled/enabled, it's been power cycled and the firmware has been updated a second time without success. I'll attempt factory reset but otherwise I'll have to put it back to 2.2.78.

Having seen your post early on, I decided not to update to 3.70 needing the call functionality. However, are you able to confirm if your NVR was recording on 5.04 + 2.2, assuming you did add it as a Access Control device?

When I'm next around I will attempt to keep versions the same, try re-adding the device again, and if all else fails, revert to RTSP recording.
What's odd, the NVR was recording the doorbell up until the weekly NVR reboot and then stopped. Reboots subsequently have not reenabled recording.

I wouldn't necessarily be put off. If it was a bug I'd expect more people to have reported issues and that has not been the case; I guess it's just a glitch on mine.

Yes. It was added as an access control device on the 2.2.78 intercom firmware with the current 5.04.050 M firmware and was recording normally.
